Do you know where all of Maryland’s road signs are created? Introducing the State Highway Administration’s sign shop. Whether it’s parking signs, warning signs, or exit signs, a team of five works everyday to create them and keep Marylanders safe on the road. Each sign that’s created is produced in a specific manner to reflect light right to your eye so that you can see them even when you’re driving at night. The team of five can produce up to 100 signs a day. We recently went there to see how they created a warning sign for drivers to be aware of bicyclists.
